Oriental Fruit Fly Meeting Riverside and San Bernardino County – Dec. 19

To keep the industry informed on the latest updates and information as it relates to various Oriental fruit fly (OFF) detections in Riverside County, the Riverside and San Bernardino County Agricultural Commissioner’s Offices and California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) will be hosting a grower meeting on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Citrus Heritage Park. The meeting will be held in-person only.

Registration is not required to attend, but it is encouraged.

As of Dec. 12, an OFF quarantine has NOT been established in Riverside or San Bernardino counties. Growers with operations in surrounding areas will have the opportunity at the meeting to hear the latest updates on recent detections, understand harvest requirements should a quarantine be established in the future and speak with staff from CDFA, USDA, the Riverside County Agricultural Commissioner’s office and the San Bernardino County Office of Agriculture/Weights and Measures Department.
