Argentine Ant and Citrus Pest Management Field Day – Nov. 1 and 2

Coast Southern California

All citrus growers and affiliates are invited and encouraged to attend one of the upcoming Argentine ant and citrus pest management field day events hosted by the University of California (UC) at the Redlands Prospect Park Carriage House in San Bernardino County on Nov. 1 or in Saticoy in Ventura County on Nov. 2. Each event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon.

Each field day will include presentations from Dr. Mark Hoddle from UC Riverside on biological control methods on ACP and from Sandra Zwaal, Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program ACP/HLB Grower Liaison on the ACP area-wide program. In addition, each field day will include an opportunity for attendees to see Argentine ants in citrus at designated stations in small groups while engaging in discussions on Argentine ant monitoring programs and products which can be used to control ant populations. Two DPR CEUs have been requested. Water, coffee, pastries and snacks will be provided for attendees. These free events do require registration to attend.

Register here.
